Kivikylän Kotipalvaamo Oy is a meat and meat product manufacturer
The founder of the company, Jari Laihonen, continued on in the footsteps of his father's meat curing business and started Kivikylän Kotipalvaamo Oy in 1992. In 1995, the company was awarded the Finland's Best Smoke-cured award and the same year, Laihonen hired his first employee. The company now has 3 factories. The factory in Lapland cuts and cures meats. The one in Huittinen does sausages and the one in Säkylä specializes in processing fowl as well as minced meat items such as burger patties and meat balls. Extensive remodeling done on the outlet store at the Huittinen factory was completed in spring 2015 and the sausage-shaped Hullulenkki-store opened for business.
Kivikylän Kotipalvaamo has approximately 280 employees. The company still procures their raw materials from neighboring farms.
